I've been bitten by the Spitfire and Seafire bug. Also the Spiteful and the Seafang. I have to thank Robert Austin as the Spitfire was his favourite aircraft. He could talk about it for hours on end. I've been beavering away on how I could do this. In order to build many many more of the above, I took a page from the Seafury, Seahawk, Hunter etc. sales where export versions where given a new range of model numbers. My current list of (and it will change) possible export models (any non-RAF/FAA/RN Airforce) is broken down into three groups: Spitfire: MK.30-39 Original wing Both Merlin and Griffon Engines Seafire: MK.50-59 Original wing Both Merlin and Griffon Engines Spitfire and Seafire: MK.60-69 New wing Only Griffon Engines I have not added any models to the existing MK.2x or MK.4x range. The variations I have introduced include but are not limited to: 1. Changing the tail or rudder. The Spitfire/Seafire had a quite few designs over its lifespan. Example is Spiteful tail on a PR.MK.XIX. 2. Making it a razor back or bubble canopy where one did exist. Examples is a PR.MK.XIX. 3. Making it a Seafire. IE adding a tail hook to a MK.IX or PR.MK.XIX 4. Making the wings clipped where non existed. 5. Change number of propellers Attached is a screen shot of my current spreadsheet/matrix. It does not yet include the Spiteful and Seafang. Green is a completed kit Yellow is a WIP kit Top is a F.MK.60 Middle is a PR.MK.37 Bottom is a PR.MK.36
