Hi Gang,

Here's something I wrote a decade or more ago when a regular at What If & BTS. Gave me a chuckle re-reading it. Hope it does the same for everyone here:

An Ode to the Profilers, Kit Bashers & Backstory Novelists.

How many times have we checked the board
Hoping our thread just isn't ignored,
Hoping for anything in the way of news,
Then Whammo! and we've lost the muse.

How many Tomcats can we put out
Followed by Flankers, Hornets and Trout???
Delighting in satifying all of youse,
Then Whammo! and we've lost the muse

How many times has a fellow said,
Nice Falcon but can I have it in Red,
Another that's Arab to fly 'gainst the Jews
Then Whammo! and we've lost the muse

How many times have we written the scene
Just for the fact, our Eagle's painted green,
Everyone's cheered wanting it in blues,
Then Whammo! and we've lost the muse

And what of that Superfort coming together,
All painted up and ready to weather,
Bogging been done 'twixt wing & fuse'
Then Whammo! and we've lost the muse

To all of my kin I say unto thee,
A hobby it is, or two or three
When profiling's slow or a kit is bad news,
Try a backstory or Poem 'cause you'll get back your Muse.
